Hamara plastic

There is a contract between thanalidam and Hamara plastic & Carbon print, it was on October 8th 2024.NSS unit of college will collect the plastic wastes and give these two companies to recycle it. Where Hamara plastic, recycle these wastes in bellet form and give it to Carbon print, then they give us the required waste baskets, benches etc. The waste baskets are already available in college, the benches will reach by next month.They promised to deliver benches even before thanalidam celebrates it’s 1st anniversary.

Paper Pen Workshop

Thanalidam conducted a paper pen workshop on September 4th 2024 . The students of UCC take the initiative and actively participated in the workshop . The paper pen made by the students were then handover to thanalidam for the sale.

Thanalidam was a concept initiated by the Union Christian college as a part of the 100th anniversary.
It started as a social outreach programme begin with the ideas of Eco shop, Thrift Shop, and Mid-day meal Programme.
Eco shop was started with the idea of providing good food items, organic resources filled with the taste of love, handicraft made by students, ornaments, paintings,extra from the ucian community, by this students can earn their own income.
A Thrift Shop provide a sustainable way of recycling discarded items from clothes, electronic, to the need of others.
Mid-day meal programme is for the students who can buy free meal if needed.
